Mindful of the God of truth we want to know more.

For we live in a dark time, and in a world of liars, where the godless lead the godless to many unholy places, and the godly themselves are prone to find some comfort there.

But we have found none, when we were so led—by passion, and the pack of the shameless—astray.

With the psalmist we cry out for our Lord’s light, His truth.

And He sends them. They lead us to a special place: God’s own holy place, His sanctuary, His presence.

Just where we want to be.

For there, in light, in truth, in the fellowship of God, is true life.

We are always smaller in that light—smaller than we once thought we were. And not so pretty.

But in that light we see light, and God for Who He is…

Big. Beautiful.

The God of gods, the only true God.

Before Whom sinners cower.

But Christ’s own rejoice.

In a plague even.

So that our darkest hour is His finest.

For such a time as this.

With you in Him, confiding in the Savior and His truth and love,
