Faith Promise Missions is a powerful and proven way for each local Church and Christian to have a part in the Great Commission reaching the world with the Gospel.
A faith promise commitment is an offering given by faith, above the tithe, to support worldwide missions.
You can help spread the Gospel around the world! Here are 10 easy steps to partner with God through Faith Promise Missions.
1. Realize God has entrusted you with the Gospel.
“But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.”
1 Thessalonians 2:4
What an amazing thought! Are we being good stewards of the Gospel?
2. We are commanded to spread the Good News both in our community and around the world at the same time.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Acts 1:8
We should go soul winning at home and support soul winning missionaries abroad.
3. The Local Church supports worthy missionaries to preach Jesus Christ in foreign lands on our behalf.
“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”
Acts 13:2
A faithful pastor examines each missionary for Biblical doctrine and philosophy before recommending them to the church.
4. God is looking for people He can trust to funnel money through to missionaries.
Most people spend money as it comes in with no thought of God’s plans. Can God trust you with money to pass along to other people or projects?
5. Ask the Lord what amount He would like to give through you to missions this year.
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:6–7
Seek the Lord through surrendered prayer. Be sensitive to His leadership. He will guide you to give.
Don’t just consider what amount your budget can support or what you are willing to sacrifice. The amount God leads you to give may be beyond your current ability.
Remember that God can bring extra funds to you throughout the year. Allow God to empower you to give by His grace!
6. By faith, commit to that amount and turn in a commitment card.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6
This commitment is between you and the Lord, not you and your church. A wise pastor will not pressure or guilt members to give. He will teach them to fear God and keep His commandments.
A Christian should be far more concerned of what God knows of him rather than what people think of him.
This Missions Commitment Card is available at AddToYourFaith.com.
The small card to the right is turned into the Church. The rest of the card is kept as a reminder of the commitment.

7. God blesses generous giving.
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
2 Corinthians 9:8
