WHY DID CHRIST APPEAR?
Many people think that the Lord Jesus came as an example to follow. If that is the case, Christ is a failure. No one truly makes a real effort to follow the example of Christ’s holiness, love, and kindness. Christ came to put away the sin of His people by the sacrifice of Himself. (Heb. 9:26) If that is the case Christ is the successful Savior because His sacrifice eternally removed the sin of His people. (Heb. 10:14)

HE IS PRECIOUS
“Unto you therefore which believe He is precious” (I Peter 2:7)
The Lord Jesus Christ is more precious than human words can express. Christ is precious because He is the only Savior of hell deserving sinners. Christ is precious because He is the only righteousness for guilty sinners. Christ is precious because He is the only life for dead sinners. Christ is precious because He is the only way to God for lost sinners. Christ is precious because He is the only comfort for troubled sinners. But here is the thing: Christ is only seen as precious by those who believe on Him. Oh may God be pleased to give us faith in Christ!

NEED
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
In a day where men preach a “health and wealth message” that claims that God desires all to be healthy and financially prosperous, I find it enlightening that the scriptures declare that God shall supply all our “NEED,” not greed. Did you notice that the word “need,” is singular not plural? This need that God supplies is talking about one thing in particular. I find it equally enlightening that our Lord declared that, “there is only one thing NEEDFUL.” (Luke 10:42) Here we see that God’s riches in glory are “by Christ Jesus?” Jesus Christ is the one thing needful. If I have Jesus Christ, I have everything that I need in order to be found perfectly holy and righteous before God. There are no greater riches to be found than that.

The Trail of Your faith
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:7)
It is a blessing to experience those times when all seems well and faith comes easily, when it seems the very air is filled with the presence of the Lord. Such times are a blessing, but they are no proof of true faith. Faith is proven when it endures the HARD times. When the heart is broken, the mind confused, and the body weak, then is faith put to the test and proven whether it be genuine. When faith survives those times when there is NO FEELING to verify it, NO EVIDENCE to confirm it, and NO FLESHLY ENERGY to sustain it, then and only then can we discover that we have that faith that is "the gift of God." God's gifts are "without repentance," and this is as true of faith as any of His other gifts. We know we have believed when we never repent of our faith, but believe in the very face of all that is opposed to faith. This is the trial and proof of faith.
