People who reject the gospel of God’s free and sovereign grace in Christ do so because they don’t know God or themselves. Their rejection of sovereign grace is based upon two great mistakes. First they mistakenly think they have the ability to choose God. But man by nature is dead. Man cannot and will not come to Christ that he might have life (John 5:40, John 6:44). Second they think they have some rights so God owes them a chance to be saved. But man has forfeited any claim on salvation by our sin and rebellion against God. Therefore it is obvious that our salvation will be by God’s free and sovereign grace in Christ Jesus or our damnation will be by our own sinful will. The Sobering Truth
Men and women do not go to hell because of God’s sovereignty or because of God’s predestination. Men and women go to hell because of their sin. God’s will saves—man’s will damns. God’s choice saves—man’s choice damns. God’s work saves—man’s work damns. The cause of grace is God—the cause of wrath is man! If you go to heaven, it will be God’s work—and God alone shall have the praise for it. If, however, you go to hell, it will be your fault—and you alone shall have the blame for it.

This world is dead and dying. It is opposed to everything about God. One day soon the Lord will destroy it by fire. While believers must live in this world we SHOULD NOT SEEK TO BE LIKE IT. My brothers and sisters constantly reject the ways of this world and seek to follow our Lord Jesus Christ and His way.
Of all the titles given to our Gracious God in His Word this is one of the most blessed to his people’s heart. He is the God of Sovereign, electing, eternal grace, giving grace to whom He will. There is no grace upon this earth towards a man, or manifested in a man, or from a man towards another man except it come from the God of all grace.
His grace is sufficient for every circumstance we are called to upon this earth. It is sufficient for our trials and triumph, joys and sorrows sickness and health, for our contentment and our discontent. We need His grace for every aspect of our lives, not only when we are in trouble, but when we are full and abound. Without grace we would not act or react properly under any circumstance.
His grace is all that enables us to submit to His Word, His will and His ways and do it with the right motive. In fact, His grace in us makes these things to be the paramount motive and the desires of our hearts and lives. His grace establishes us, settles us, strengthens us, and gives us the hope and promise of eternal glory with the Lord Jesus Christ.
So, whether you are smiling, crying, rejoicing or heavy of heart, it is His grace that is with us through it all. We are nothing, know nothing, can do nothing in and of ourselves, but oh the blessed grace of God how pure, how free, how strong, how amazing it is! “But the God of ALL GRACE, who hath called you unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever, Amen” (I Pet.5:10-11).

I challenge anyone to put his or her finger on one scripture in the Holy Bible where Christ ever turned away a truly repentant sinner. You won’t find one! Many came in pride that were turned away. Many came in religion that were soon drawn away. Yet never was there one desperate sinner who came with great need and desire to be healed that was ever denied His grace.
