The psalmist working his way toward spiritual victory has come to the place in his life that he realizes there are spiritual responsibilities to accept, but only with reliance upon God to produce acceptable results. Some of these are:
Going forth with precious seed (Psalm127:5-6)
Build (a spiritual life, ministry, home, church, etc.) (Psalm 127:1)
Watch and Guard (Psalm 27:1-2)
Raise godly children (Psalm 27:4-5)
TOTAL RELIANCE UPON THE LORD FOR SUCCESS (Psalm 127:1-2)
The victorious Christian life refuses to allow us to live spiritually idle lives. We must be about the Lord's work, but that is not enough! We must put forth our best effort while at the same time realizing it is God that gives the increase.
Yet a LITTLE sleep, a LITTLE slumber, a LITTLE folding of the hands together: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. (Proverbs 6:10-11)
This applies spiritually as well.
Saint you will never have victory until you get busy for God!
