Looking back the Psalmist as he has begun to journey from spiritual defeat to victory has: Psalm 120 - Realized his spiritual condition, and need of help from the Lord. Psalm 121 - Refocused his spiritual sight from looking out and down to the hills from whence cometh his help. Psalm 121 - Resolved to go to the house of God in spite of the obstacles he might face because he knows the Lord will help him. Psalm 122 - Reunites with the remnant going to the house of God. They encourage him to join them. This brought gladness to his life! Psalm 123 - Refocuses again, looking higher still, not upon a place, but upon a person, the LORD. Psalm 123 - Role of a servant is assumed.
All these are actions in the psalmist's life are working to bring him closer to the victorious Christian life. Now after having read the previous blogs, and understanding the practical applications made I will give you a quick summary of the next 11 chapters.
