Prayer for the church:
Sylvia would like to express her thanks to the church for helping with the move yesterday. Please pray for her that she may settle well into her new home.
Please pray for the up coming Holiday Bible Club. Pray for the preparations leading up to this and especially for Sarah, Daniel and Pastor as they prepare their talks.
Continue to pray for preparations leading up to the summer camp no. 5 in Wales. Thank God for willing workers. Please now pray for campers. So far there are only 10 so pray for increased numbers so that the camp is viable. 24 is a viable number although small.
Please continue to pray for Simon with his situation regarding his employment.
Please pray for Julia and her family as they attend the funeral of Tom on Friday at Falconwood crematorium at 1.45 p.m. and for pastor as he takes the service.
Continue to pray for Michael and Joan who is making very slow progress.
For Local Area:
Homerton The church praises God for a noticeable increase in the Sunday congregations. Please pray that the Easter leaflets being distributed in the neighbourhood will prove an effective outreach to the community and that plans for children’s summer activities, culminating in an event run by Ambassadors in Sport on September 22nd, will lead to many young people being challenged by the gospel. Also pray for Judy Richards, the pastor’s wife, who is due to undergo major surgery at the end of April.
For Wider Area:
Noah Quarshie & Bible Baptist Church – Ghana -www.gracebaptistmissionghana.org
Visit to the House of Hope Orphanage We paid a visit to the House of Hope Orphanage at the end of last year.
The 21 children in the home are doing very well. Sister Lizzy is a real blessing from the Lord to the Children. She needs our prayers daily. We are also praying for the Lord to bring a dedicated Christian worker to help with the spiritual leadership in the home and a church in the area to reach the community of Kledjo/Hohoe.
The building Project School re-opened on the 9th of January. Our intake is still low but we are working and trusting the Lord to bring in the students. We are also taking a new course in our educational goals, to reach out to the Adults illiterates. We will be training them in the area of English as a second Language. We were not able to start in January but we are planning to start it in March 2007.
TRIP TO NORTHERN GHANA We had to postpone our plan travelling to Northern Ghana to baptize the 25 new believers due to lack of funds. We trust the Lord to provide the funds to be able to travel to the North soon.
Prayer Requests
1. School plans include two more floors to be built on top of the one that is almost finished ($5000 need to finish the first floor). A school complex from preschool through high school and a seminary is our goal for this ministry.
2. Growth for the believers who have been baptized. Hunger for the Word. Desire to learn the "hidden mysteries" through the Holy Spirit's teaching.
3. Funds for the Bible Baptist Church in Accra to reproof the church.
4. Plans for North Ghana for the one square mile given to the mission for the development of a church, ministries and library. The local folks will construct the buildings and the Mission will be responsible to roof them. Continue to pray for a Nurse or Physician's Assistant type person. For the Clinic. Short or long term helpers are welcome. Pray for the Chief and His elders.
