Without this new birth, we cannot know who God is; we cannot understand the Person and work of Christ. We cannot understand the gospel of the Kingdom, nor enter into the Kindom of God. Without it, there can be no living union between Christ and the sinner. Christ spoke these words concerning the new birth to Nicodemus before he ever presented the gospel of Christ's death and resurrection to him (John 3:14-15). If God the Holy Spirit does not make us a new man in Christ Jesus, then the work of Christ would be in vain. We must die with the old man and perish unless we are born again. Now, how important is the new birth? It is a Must. John 3:7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
