There will be a church dinner following the service today to celebrate Andrea Morgan’s 60th birthday and Janet Tate’s 50th birthday. Please plan to stay and enjoy a time of fellowship together. THE GOSPEL: CHRIST IS ALL
The message of the gospel of God is God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom 1:1-3). The gospel sent by God to sinful men only has one message: Christ. The gospel declares that Christ is all. The message that Christ is all is too simple for the intellectual man, too plain for the man with itching ears, and offensive to the self righteous religious man who wrongly feels that he has something he can add to his standing before God. But the message that Christ is all is good news from a far country to a sinful man. A sinful man loves the simple message that Christ is all. I have no righteousness of my own but Christ is all my righteousness. I have no holiness of my own but Christ is all my sanctification. I have no wisdom of my own but Christ is all my wisdom. I am completely lost and undone, dead in trespasses and sins, but Christ is all of my salvation. Thank God that Christ is all!
God Delights In Mercy
Here is a prayer that God never says no to... “Have mercy upon me.” Whenever someone asks for mercy, they are acknowledging their guilt before God, they are acknowledging His sovereign right to give it or withhold it as He sees fit, and they are pleading their need of mercy. Everybody who truly pleads for mercy will have it. If you say, “I asked the Lord for mercy and He did not give it to me,” then you really never asked for mercy. You may have used the word “mercy”, but that is not what you meant. Because if you meant what the Bible means by mercy, you would have it! The Lord did say, “Him that cometh to Me, I will in no wise cast out.” If you have not received mercy by Him, it is because you never came to Him for mercy in the first place! Remember, “He delighteth in mercy.”

Strong Consolation - Hebrews 6: 17-19
If only one of God’s sheep were to perish, the purpose of God would be frustrated, the power of God resisted, and the promise of God broken; the faithfulness of God would be a mockery and the Word of God proved to be a lie. The assurance of faith is not in my ability to hold on, but the immutable character of my God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Phil. 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Believers in the Lord Jesus do rejoice in the Lord always. They rejoice that His grace is always sufficient, that His blood ever cleanses them from all sin, that by His righteousness imputed to them they are justified before the law, that His love for them never fails, that by His providence He continually works all things together for their good, to them who are the called according to His purpose, that His intercession before the Father on their behalf is continual and rejoice that their names are written in heaven.
