Things are not always as they seem to man. For those who know not God, everything sinful seems attractive. The unsaved man or woman will choose the bar room, a six pack, or a bottle of intoxicating beverage almost every time, rather than preaching or church. The word “right” means one thing to those who know not God and another thing to those who are in Christ! But, what matters is what God said, and His word says we should worship, praise, adore Him, and obey His Word. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seemeth right unto a man; but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Almost everything in this sin cursed world tries to pull us away from God! We must run to Him but never from Him! Society is always trying to pull us away from God.

The Bible, God’s Word, is the most needed, but the least appreciated volume on earth to those who need it desperately. Spiritually blind people are also dead to the things of God, but alive to sin, and actively engaged in Satan’s program. What we need is to be dead to sin, but alive to Christ’s program at all times.

The new birth would make you a new creature (new creation) in Christ and able to hear His voice and do His will. Jesus said in John 3:7, “Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again.” II Corinthians 5:17 tells us, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” We have to confess we are a sinner and repent of our sins, and accept Jesus into our heart and life. When Jesus died on the cross He took our sins upon Himself and suffered for us. He gave this as a gift to us to either accept or reject.
