For centuries poets have tried to express God’s love for mankind, but after all

their efforts, they have not scratched the surface. Songs have been written about his marvelous, miraculous, boundless, unlimited love for you and me. But they always fall far short. Great orators, preachers, and laymen have struggled to find words that could fully express God’s great love for undeserving, lost humanity, but have always fallen short of their worthy goal. The limited vocabulary of mankind can never reach that goal because he is higher than our highest and sweeter than mankind’s sweetness.

We can only look at his word and marvel at his boundless, beautiful love for sinners such as you and me. The loveliest love story ever written is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world (all of us), that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
