Micha 7:18Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
Jonathan Edwards preached a sermon one time entitled; "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." It has been a long time since I have read it, but this morning while sitting in my study, reading of God's mercy to sinners in Christ I thought; I am glad that a multitude of sinners like ourselves are in the hands of a Merciful God, one who delights to show mercy to sinners. In the Lord Jesus Christ, Mercy and Truth can meet together, Righteousness and Peace can kiss each other and God can be a Just God and show mercy to sinners like us. Is there a sinner in the house? I have good news; God delights to show mercy to sinners. But here is the question: Do you delight to have it?
