Excellant reading!!....worth going over several times (referencing the Scriptures) and getting a clear picture.

It is amazing how the outward appearance of things change, but the wicked, selfish, self-righteous motive of man's heart(since Cain) doesn't!

This short writing helps me see that more clearer.

“ Sadly, This Is the Last Featured Sermon on Election ”
My dad recommended this sermon to me today, telling me what a good message it was on election, a doctrine of God's eternal and effectual love for His people. He discovered this message on the front page of SermonAudio; it was a featured message. I have listened to it, and indeed, it blessed my heart. It was with great sadness that I learned that this will be the last SermonAudio featured message on election (by most preachers). The people at SermonAudio have disabled most sermons with this word in it's title (Alan Cairns and the other Free Presbyterians are not blocked). I do not understand why Scriptural or Biblical terms are banned from sites that proclaim to promote the gospel. Even Charles Spurgeon's messages on election and calvinism are now banned. Election is a glorious doctrine of God's eternal love and sovereign choice of hell deserving sinners. I wish it could be declared freely by faithful preachers without restraints of modern religionists. These religionists do not need to hear it, but sinners who find no cause of salvation in themselves do need to hear it and they need to hear it often. Electing grace is their only hope of salvation. While other's may hate and dispise it, the chosen sinner will frind great comfort in it. Again, thank you for this message.

“ A Vital Contemporary Question ”
I believe that A.W. Pink addresses this sermon best: "It is our deep conviction that the vital question most requiring to be raised today is this: Is man a totally and thoroughly depraved creature by nature? Does he enter the world completely ruined and helpless, spiritually blind and dead in trespasses and sins? According as is our answer to that question, so will be our views on many others. It is on the basis of this dark background that the whole Bible proceeds. Any attempt to modify or abate, repudiate or tone down the teaching of Scripture on the matter is fatal. Put the question in another form: Is man now in such a condition that he cannot be saved without the special and direct intervention of the triune God on his behalf? In other words, is there any hope for him apart from his personal election by the Father, his particular redemption by the Son, and the supernatural operations of the Spirit within him? Or, putting it in still another way: If man is a totally depraved being, can he possibly take the first step in the matter of his return to God?" Before Adam rebelled in the garden, the lie of the serpent to the woman was "you won't die", since that fatal deception, he continues this same lie..... "your not dead".
