If you wonder about or struggle with the subject of election, or if you are blessed when you hear this doctrine clearly expounded, this sermon may be for you. As Spurgeon said, "The old truth that Calvin preached, that Augustine preached, that Paul preached, is the truth that I must preach today, or else be false to my conscience and my God. I cannot shape the truth. I know of no such thing as paring off the rough edges of a doctrine. John Knox's gospel is my gospel; that which thundered through Scotland must thunder through England again."

Must hear Sermon! I listened to this again and was deeply comforted by it even more than before. To know that God chose me, I did not choose God was a blessing that cannot be more comforting. Many will argue and hate this Doctrine, but it is Truth and if study the Holy Scriptures, you will accept it also.

Strong Sermon! Brother Russ does a thorough job discussing this very difficult (for some people) topic. But looking back into my life, I see where I had no desire to seek Jesus Christ and His Truth. No, my salvation had to be through the Doctrine of Election -- that is so clear to me today. I thank God that He so elected me to be one of God's children.

Sadly, This Is the Last Featured Sermon on Election My dad recommended this sermon to me today, telling me what a good message it was on election, a doctrine of God's eternal and effectual love for His people. He discovered this message on the front page of SermonAudio; it was a featured message. I have listened to it, and indeed, it blessed my heart. It was with great sadness that I learned that this will be the last SermonAudio featured message on election (by most preachers). The people at SermonAudio have disabled most sermons with this word in it's title (Alan Cairns and the other Free Presbyterians are not blocked). I do not understand why Scriptural or Biblical terms are banned from sites that proclaim to promote the gospel. Even Charles Spurgeon's messages on election and calvinism are now banned. Election is a glorious doctrine of God's eternal love and sovereign choice of hell deserving sinners. I wish it could be declared freely by faithful preachers without restraints of modern religionists. These religionists do not need to hear it, but sinners who find no cause of salvation in themselves do need to hear it and they need to hear it often. Electing grace is their only hope of salvation. While other's may hate and dispise it, the chosen sinner will frind great comfort in it. Again, thank you for this message.

Any Hearing Ears Could Hear This! I have lots of arminian friends that I would like to hear this, but as bro. Sukhia said, God gives the increase. It just seems so simple to me. Election makes perfect sense. Thank you for this message.

Great Sermon! A great, great sermon. If I were to hand pick 5 sermons on Election to recommend to an Armenian Brother in Christ, this would be one of them.
