Can we return to rational conversation gain? That entire fiasco yesterday was so creepy. Maybe we should pray for Brent, that God would soften his heart, and that we wouldn't have to deal with his posts on this forum. Have a blessed day all! I'll be around for some conversation, though I may get a little busy. I don't know when that would be. |

Question, Seeing as Trump has the worst negatives in the history of polling negatives, I think it reflects the people pretty well! I would reccomend you read about the history of the delegate system. It's some fascinating stuff. For most of American history, the candidate was chosen soley by the delegates and there was no "popular vote". It was Teddy Roosevelt (a Progressive) that called for a "popular vote". The delegates have never been tied to the "popular vote". They are an unbound, independant vote. Just as you shouldn't be forced to vot for the "majority pick", neither should unbound delegates. |

Unprofitable Servant wrote: The sad part is that the double standard in this thread will be that if the Trump campaign was being as successful in doing what the Cruz campaign is, we would be hearing about how egregious, immoral, stealth, and under handed it is, just in line with Trump's character, who is trying to steal the nomination. But because it is switched, we will hearing about how smart and honest Cruz is to work within his legal rights. Not true. That's a lot of speculation coming from you. And what again is wrong with a candidate winning over delegates? It isn't immoral if it's Trump winning over delegates, and there equally isn't anything immoral about Cruz winning over delegates. If Trump were attempting to win over Cruz delegates, I don't believe anyone on here would be saying that was dirty tricks! Trump isn't even trying to get delegates, he's firing his staff in states after the primaries, and has not spoken with the delegates. Is there anything wrong with another candidate talking to them and presenting their case? Of course not, whether it be Trump or Cruz. |

pennelope wrote: Title: PROOF: TED CRUZ'S PROMISE TO DO AWAY WITH COMMON CORE IS A TOTAL LIE. http://www.newswithviews.com/Hoge/anita127.htmYah, if newswithviews (the site that called Trump God's chosen!), can be considered reputable sourcing! You have legitimized lies repeatedly, and when proven wrong, you don't appologize for your spreading of deceitful lies, instead you either conveniently stop talking about it, or you double down on it! I am not saying you are purposing to spread lies, just that your lack of true investigation and your willingness to believe something if it's said on some blog, youtube video, or conspiracy site enables these kinds of falsehoods to spread and continue to mislead and decieve people. You lose credibility when you lend your voice to lies, whether intentional or unintentional. I hope you don't view this as an attack against you, because it's not. I am just suggesting you may want to consider doing deeper research on legitimate sources on an issue before you claim it to be true. Heck, I could find a lot of things on Trump on some of these less reputable sites, but I never would spread such things. Courtesy and truth go both ways. |
