John Lee wrote: I hope these police officers were all offered a tract. When I went into a Spiritualist Church as a young Christian, with a stack of scripture verses to show them their error, I was thrown out physically and the police were called. So when the police van arrived I spent some time witnessing to the police officer, and I hope he got saved. That is totally illogical that Spiritualist Church would get so bent out of shape about having salvation tracts left there. |

John Lee wrote: 1 Peter 3:18 KJV (18) For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit: It is a great gospel text, John. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJV (1) Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; (2) By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. (3) For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; (4) And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Another great gospel text, John. Those 2 Bible passages above were 2 of the passages that were read during the sermon yesterday at my Baptist Church. |

ladybug wrote: Just another stark reminder this world is evil, mankind is evil. Politics is evil- BOTH parties. The Righteous Judge of ALL the earth is coming again, and He WILL judge righteously. "Put not your trust in princes, in mortal man, who cannot save." Psalm 146:3 âBecause he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.â Acts 17:31 There are a few bad apples in the Republican Party who are really Democrats because they support abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage. But the majority of those in the Republican Party adhere to the Republican Party platform by being against abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage. So if the Republican Party platform is against abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage then the Republican Party is the party of Jesus and not evil. The Democratic Party is evil and the party of Satan. |

JC wrote: I agree about the democratic party but the republican party is far from the party of Jesus I didn't state anything about Republican politicians. I stated that the Republican Party platform is against abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage. So that means that the Republican Party is the party of Jesus. The vast majority of Republican politicians adhere to the platform of the Republican Party by being against abortion, homosexuality and homosexual marriage. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: You mean that some churches are sensible and don't want their laity killed by the virus? Good for them "The United States is hurtling toward yet another grim milestone of 10 million cases, with over 9.9 million reported cases as of Sunday evening, according to Johns Hopkins University data." https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/08/health/us-coronavirus-sunday/index.html Yesterday at my Baptist Church at 10:15 AM Pastor Steve announced that he had received word that a kid from AWANA last Wednesday had contracted the virus and that everyone except the Pastors and the worship team was to go home and watch the service live on YouTube. They are monitoring the situation this week to ascertain if in person worship will take place next Sunday. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: It's really dishonest not to say it's over. Not only did Biden get the majority of vote but he got enough electorial votes to become President. Yes, we should pray that Trump becomes Christian. It's sad that this particular prayer hasn't been answered. It is no surprise, however. It is strange that I am the only one so far who has commented on the article yesterday about churches return to online only worship. |

Jim Lincoln wrote: John Y., Would you be in favor of some student handing out face masks for free, that said, "God is One and Muhammad is His Prophet"? No I wouldn't be in favor of some student handing out face masks that said "God is One and Muhammad is His Prophet". |

Servant wrote: Thanks, Dr Tim. I might drop in from time to time here. News and politics and lockdown matters are interesting and real active to us all, but maybe just distractions to real matters of salvation and Christian service. Sorry to jump on you right out of the gate, John Y. Just canât let something like the mindset of inclusion go... This mindset of inclusion, or having it the way God says it AND the way we want it is dangerous and destructive. Notice in 1 Cor 10:21: âye cannotâ. Hard to get around that statement. Much of our problems stem from trying to have both the way we want things and the way God says they are. Naturally I only accept the Baptist doctrine of salvation that states salvation only comes by embracing Jesus as Lord and Savior and trusting in Jesus alone for salvation. |
