GG said:"If Time rag mag knows it, how then can it be considered a 'secret'. Comments by Time such as, "The Vatican SEEMS to be part of their strategy", makes a mockery of the title "Iran's Secret Weapon". One wonders what SA's purpose is to put such trash in front of people who can't understand that the bible teaches to 'love your enemies' not teach hatred and fear of them. Did Christ say, "Blessed are the Peace Makers" or did SA have that removed?" Scripture also says "Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" (Galatians 4:16) Don't you think it important that the Iranian ambassador says this: "The policy of the Holy See is important throughout the whole world." Especially in light of Revelation 17. The Vatican wants temporal and spiritual supremacy. That has always been Rome's approach. Ahmadinejad wants Israel and the US wiped off the face of the earth (this is not a mere political statement, but also a religious one). So why is the Vatican even close to being considered an ally much less a friend? Either they are closer than many believe or, as the quote above indicates, the Vatican really does hold more clout worldwide than is commonly admitted. How loving is THAT? |

I'm not too sure that the Willow Creek group is admitting that the seeker-sensitive model doesn't work nearly as much as they are still wanting to institute something "different". Hybels' quote is cause for some concern, I think:"We made a mistake. What we should have done when people crossed the line of faith and become Christians, we should have started telling people and teaching people that they have to take responsibility to become 'self feeders.' We should have gotten people, taught people, how to read their Bible between services, how to do the spiritual practices much more aggressively on their own." What does he mean by "the spiritual practices"? If, as I understand, Willow Creek is oriented towards the Roman Catholic Church, this may not be so much an admission of being wrong about being seeker-sensitive, but that the Protestant Church needs to adopt "old practices" like auricular confession, mystical practices and other medieval Catholic rituals. Did I miss it or has no one else mentioned this? |
