Great Sermon! I so much enjoy your sermons, both Phil and Don's and OF COURSE John's!
I cannot afford to buy them as I live off disability checks. I would certainly appreciate if you could send me any or all of your 'free' DVDs as I would love to share them with friends at my church.
My address is POBOX 8013, SEBRING, FL 33872. May God continue to bless your ministry
Great Sermon! Thanks brother. I served 25 years in the US Army. I also was rescued by God when I was full of pride and trusting in myself. When God saved me, I experienced shame for my sin and devoted my life to serve Him forever! God changes lives forever!
Great Sermon! This is one for all of my (supposed)oh-so-smart family/friends. And, as many truly well-reasoned arguments can be, it was thoroughly listenable. I wonder what I, as a 35 year old athiest, would have thought of this had I heard it some 25+ years ago. I have a hunch that it would have been difficult for me, as a thoroughly entrenched worldling, to refute it to my own satisfaction, even then. Thank you for this serious ammo.
maranatha! Kay
Numbers 6:24-26
Very interesting & enlightening Phil is a very articulate and dedicated preacher. He knows the Truth and is not shy about sharing it. I learned a great deal from this message, and it encouraged me to dig deeper into the original reformers' faith and beliefs. You will be blessed by this and you will see clearly why we of the light should have no partnership with darkness.
Comment The late missionary Rees Howells, who did great things under God, told in his memoirs how God led him and his wife OUT of organized religion/church for a period of time (about 5 years i think) before leading him back in (to pastor a church). I highly recommend the biography of Rees Howells. Jesus Christ said, "Where TWO or THREE are gathered in my name, THERE I am in the midst of THEM.
Great Sermon! Here in Wisconsin the churches are mostly apostate. When i came to Christ (outside of any church)a female Lutheran "pastor" (whom i suspect is Lesbian) refused to baptize me by immersion (the biblical way) because they only do sprinkling. She also told me she doesnt believe in a literal Hell. Then what did Jesus come down here to die for? Her thinking is clearly disordered and illogical. I spent 2 years trying to find someone to baptize me. A Baptist pastor kept putting it off, saying he didnt have enough other converts (to do a Baptism service). Did Phillip the evangelist wait for other converts when he baptized the Ethiopian eunuch?
Two Assembly of God pastors were spiritually abusive, one condemning all "depressed people" from the pulpit and hosting false revivals, another mean and arrogant. Most Wisconsin pastors preach the false Gospel that has been spread in this country since the 50's by Billy Graham (that you need to "ASK Jesus into your heart" in order to be saved. My Bible simply says "REPENT AND BELIEVE!", according to apostles Peter and Paul. For 15 years I lived in total confusion until finally hearing the preaching of Paul Washer which set me free from confusion. Space prevents me from telling more. It's Laodicea here.
Great Sermon! For anyone seeking and needing help, comfort, and encouragement to focus on, and put the Lord Jesus Christ first in their lives, and have His peace and joy, this is a must hear sermon.
Excellent teaching and a great blessing to all who have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church of Jesus Christ.Thursday May 6th 2010.

So timely We left a church after realizing that the "pastor" was buying transcripts of sermons online and reading them from the pulpit, literally, word for word the entire time we were there. We're in a church now where the minister has biblical sermons but his focus is on bringing in new members. I have cancer and he has never called me once, never asks me how I am. There are others who are in trials who he treats the same. But at Christmas they put together bags and canvased the community to show them how much "we love them". The minister owns a large, expensive home and keeps the fact that he owns another vacation home very quiet. There are other churches in the area: a lesbian woman Methodist minister, a Catholic church, a church whose pastor just returned from out of state exile for credt card fraud, an emergent church were the "preachin' guy's" wife runs the show. That's just a sample of what we've encountered looking for a church. Your sermon was excellent but it only made me feel even more frustrated because unless you attend tv or Internet church, trying to find a biblical minister these days is impossible. And we live in a metro area with a church on every corner. What do people like us do?
Great and Timely Sermon! The part about saying that everyone admires Spurgeon, Luther, Calvin...in THEIR reformations within a corrupt church age "but nobody could bear with them now", is right on the mark. Dare anyone take modern, and especially "reformed" and orthodox churches to task, or question a pastor about such corruptions as outlined in 2 Tim. 3 (which this speaker specifically reads), and watch them gnash their teeth and cast you out.
The only disturbing thing about this message is the frequent laughter, outbursts, or clapping of the pastoral audience, rather a mark of the party-spirit of the world (like in political parties) toward a very serious message, than of holy reverence, sober-mindedness, grave, etc. Herein lies the real problem of the modern church, as with Israel, it's with the shepherds...for which the sheep are scattered.
