Aim: To see that we have an obligation to cherish and protect true marriage.
Exegesis: We must research ''what God has joined together.'' Life situations force us to seek answers (vv. 1-2), and sacred scriptures provide us with answers (vv. 3-4). We must reverence ''what God has joined together.'' Our sin (v. 5), creation (vv. 6-8), and obedience (v. 9) are issues here. We must respect ''what God has joined together.'' It deserves our full attention (v. 10) and submission (vv. 11-12).
Key verse: v. 9 ''Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.''
