What is the Christian Science view of Jesus? Today on Youth Apologetics Training were going to continue to talk about Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy taught about him. Again, we are going to use the scriptures to show that the Christian Science view is wrong. If you are a Christian Scientist, you may respond that the bible is full of errors and Science and Health is not. As I mentioned yesterday, we have no reason to believe Mary Baker Eddy is without error. Conversely, we have every reason to believe the Bible is accurate and reliable. If we find that Mary Baker Eddy was wrong about anything she taught in Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures, then we know she is a false prophet. Jesus did die a bodily death We started talking about this yesterday. Mary Baker Eddy taught that Jesus did not die. We conclusively showed yesterday that he did in fact die, but I wanted to raise a few more points. Didn't the Old Testament sacrifices die? In John 1:29, John the Baptist says “behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”. Who can deny the parallels between the different prescribed sacrifices of the Old Testament and the sacrifice Christ made on the cross? Who would dare deny the physical death of the animals involved in these sacrifices? Wouldn't the Bible utterly fall apart, if you were to make these sacrifices metaphorical?
