WSC #4: What is God? God is a Spirit, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable in his being, wisdom, power, holiness, justice, goodness, and truth.
Aim: To increase our appreciation of God in Christ.
Doctrine: Information precedes appreciation. Sincerity must be founded on sincere information, and discontentment can be a grace to discover information.
Exposition: The impact of information on appreciation: information enlightens the object of appreciation (vv. 1-5); information calls people to appreciation (vv. 6-8); information received births appreciation (vv. 9-13); information increases our appetite for appreciation (vv. 14-18).
Application: Precede appreciation with information. Feed on the information that leads to appreciation, share the information that leads others to appreciation, and do not worship the information, but worship God in Christ.
