What does it mean to be a real man? A real man is one who lives not for his own greatness and glory, but a man who lives humbly before the face of God for the glory of God. Wherever you are, be God's man. You represent him to a watching and needy world. The steps of a man are established by the Lord, when he delights in his way! All of your life will be graciously ordained when you delight in God's way. Everything will work out right (Romans 8:28). You won't need to force it or manipulate it. Get alone with God and delight in Him. "Taste and see that the Lord is good." (Psalm 34:8) If we are delighting in God and longing for God, God will give us himself. Find your calm, quiet, soul-contentment in God. And then commend this good life to others. Hear and believe Psalm 16:11, "In your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." John Piper is right when he says, "God is honored when we find in him our supreme treasure. God is honored when he is our supreme pleasure. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him." God will establish your steps, and your stops. Trust in His sovereignty and goodness will be your pillow at night! No one can walk perfectly. You will stumble and you may fall. But God's got you. He has got your back; He upholds your hand. No saint shall fall finally or fatally. The pathway still contains "many dangers, toils and snares," but the Father's hand never relaxes its grip. We can say, "It is grace that has led me safe thus far, and grace that will lead me home!"
