Aim: To recognize our privilege as the church to bow the knee to Christ.
Exegesis: Let us gladly accept Messianic authority, acknowledging Christ's divine mission (vv. 27-28a) and appointment (v. 28b). Let us gladly marvel at Messianic authority, seeing its superior (v. 29) and wise (v. 30) character. Let us gladly submit to Messianic authority, confessing our sinfulness (vv. 31-32), ignorance (v. 33a), and subordination (v. 33b).
Key verse: v. 28 ''And they said to [Jesus], 'By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?'''
