They seek the help of legal, financial, marital, child-rearing, occupational, and a host of other counselors. In truth, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, and other counselors abound. And then there are the newspaper columns, magazine articles, and books that are continually being written that offer advice and counsel on practically every subject imaginable. In other words, there is no shortage of people and places to turn to for help. Solomon himself placed a great deal of emphasis on the importance of counsel: Ecclesiastes 9:12 (KJV) 12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an evil net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an evil time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. Ecclesiastes 9:12 (TEV) 12 You never know when your time is coming. Like birds suddenly caught in a trap, like fish caught in a net, we are trapped at some evil moment when we least expect it.
