On this Memorial Day weekend we do take time to pause and thank God for those who have passed on before us, especially those who died to keep our country free.
Let's meditate on the fruit of the Spirit again this week, allowing the Holy Spirit to form us as followers of Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." Specifically, let's cooperate with the indwelling Holy Spirit as He forms within us attitudes of patience, kindness, and goodness. These are the virtues that God wants to form in us through this season and every season. We can either push against it or lean into what the Spirit is doing in our lives and become the kind of followers of Christ that Jesus wants us to be.
