Aim: To come to love and appreciate, desire and long for the God who graciously expresses His will to His church.
Doctrine: The will of God is that we worship the Savior. Adoration is manifest in our actions (v. 40a) and in our prayers (v. 40b). The will of God is that we be forgiven by the Savior. Christ's love saves us (v. 41a); Christ's touch blesses us (v. 41b); Christ's word heals us (vv. 41c-42). The will of God is that we obey the Savior. Our compliance brings God glory (vv. 43-44), and our rebellion brings God ''grief'' (v. 45).
Key verse: v. 41 ''Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, 'I am willing; be cleansed.'''
