In Philippians 1:12-14, Paul answers inquiries that the church had made with respect to his affairs. Having been incarcerated for almost four years, one might have expected Paul's ministry to have stalled. But, such was not the case. Paul says that his situation had actually opened the door to the Gospel among those previously unreached. The Gospel was being discussed among the whole Imperial Guard and there were even converts in Caesar's household. What's more, Paul's chains had emboldened others to proclaim the Gospel more courageously. The advance of the Gospel cannot be thwarted.
