The Gift of Love. 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 Everyone loves to receive gifts.Their is one gift that no one can ever out do.The gift of love where Christ was born to die on the cross for all of our sins.Paul had compared the church to that of a human body with arms, legs, ears, and so on.You know, there is a certain danger in the way we do things. The danger is in doing what we do out of necessity, rather than out of love. The danger is in serving faithfully but not lovingly. Do you know that there are many faithful preachers, missionaries, soul winners, teachers, deacons, and church musicians who do a wonderful job for the Lord, but they miss God's blessings? Why? It is because at the core of what they do, there is the absence of one essential ingredient...love.Love is more important than all the gifts put together. We need to practice it in the presence tense. It will change us and it will change others who know us.Therefore we place a greater importance on love. Love will endure forever--presently and in the future.
