There are 3 proofs which conclude that the charismatic gifts of the early churches have long passed away: 1. there is an historical pattern; 2. There is the collective witness of the epistles; and 3. The teaching of Scripture. This is essential for the NT believer to understand so that he might be preserved from the great error that will come in the latter day.
