Our nation is deeply divided. What can one person do? What can you and I who are followers of Christ, what can we do to stem the tide of violence and hate? One of the things we can do is to pray for our nation! God is always looking for people who are willing to stand in the gap between heaven and earth and to intercede for those who cannot pray for themselves. We, as God's people are called upon to humble ourselves, to repent of our own sins, to seek His face, to confess the sins of the nation, and to ask God to heal our land. Now, more than ever, our land needs healing. Daniel was one who stood in the gap between God and Israel. We, like Daniel, need to pray for our nation, for our current President and the President-elect in order that we might lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness.
