The second commandment prohibits the making of graven images for worship. This commandment is conspicuously absent from ten commandments monuments found at Roman Catholic churches. The reason is obvious. It is devastating to the entire Roman system of worship and tradition. But Protestants are not exempt with their abundant pictures and videos of "Jesus." In this sermon, I deal with the objections against this commandment and its prohibition of images -- "Images help us worship ..."; "What about the bronze serpent?; "What's the big deal, anyway." God provides us with a reason for this prohibition -- namely, His jealousy. Sinners never use images to help them worship God. They always worship the images. God reserves exclusive rights to worship and does not tolerate any adultery.
