We know and appreciate the fact that there are a few people of our day who really worship, serve and adore our Almighty God. They try to give Him praise, adoration and reverential trust in all things. These saints of God are the salt of the earth! We owe a lot to those for the example they set. We need to do likewise. If God is not the Captain of our ship, we are headed for some very stormy seas. While millions are trying to keep their distance from our Maker, I suggest we draw near unto Him and He will draw near unto us. Don’t run from Him, but run to Him for help in life’s journey.

Far too often we see Americans dodging God and trying to pretend He does not even exist. Every person has heart aches, burdens and various difficulties in the course of a lifetime. Hard times are inevitable but they are the times when we could draw our strength and receive help from God. But we try to fix it our self and say, “I can handle it.” There are some storms in life you and I cannot handle. We must have God’s help.

I have often wondered how we would feel if God would start treating us like we treat Him. Many times man will just throw God a few crumbs or give Him the leftovers! At Calvary God gave His best for us. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” God sure gave heavens best for you and me. Anything less than our all for Him would be a sin. Yet, most people ignore Him and act as if He should have nothing to do with our lives; what a shame! To treat the Maker of all things like a dog is a gross sin to say the least.
