Far too often Christians try to fit into the world’s mold and serve the Lord at the same time. Just forget it, my friends. It cannot be done, period. Listen to what God’s great missionary, the Apostle Paul had to say on this subject. II Corinthians 6:14-17, “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Beliah? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, said the Lord Almighty.”

Back when revival fires were burning brightly in America, the old time preachers were not afraid to preach separation from a sinful world unto a lovely Lord. You haven’t heard this much any more because it is unpopular to be different from a wicked, Christ hating, sin cursed world. If John the Baptist heard the average little sermon from our pulpits today, I think he would fall over with a heart attack! Ladies and gentlemen, listen to me now, “Compromise kills.” Preach the word without apology!
