Thought For The Week:

"For the word of the God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edge sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4: 12

Prayer For The Church:

Please pray for the outreach opportunities at the beginning of 2009.
Pray for Pastor and Marilyn on holiday at the moment.
Pray for Mark Rapley as he studies and prepares for his exams.
Pray for the preparations leading up to Holiday Bible Club, pray for those learning lines for the Jungle Doctor playlets - pray for Mark as he prepares the talks - pray for Daniel as he is doing such a good job on co-ordinating this outreach.
4 weeks and counting!

Prayer For Local Area:

Streatham is the church on the Prayer Diary for the coming week. The church correspondent says: ‘We started the new year with a baptismal service. Please pray for Daniel as he comes from a non-Christian home. Pray for leading to the Pastor of God's choice and His blessing on Totspot and one-2-one Bible studies.'

Prayer For Wider Area:

KHODA E JAMAT - MAKING DISCIPLES OF JESUS AMONG THE MUSLIMS

Thanks for your continuous prayer for us, the believers and ministry. Your prayer is being very effective in our lives and the lives of our dear Muslim neighbours.

Recently few Muslim men and women accepted Jesus in their hearts as their Lord & Saviour. Praise The Lord! He also helped us to start few more House Churches in different villages / locations.

Bro. M. shared his testimony on 22nd Dec. He told the congregation that previously he used to hate one of his relative who became followers of Lord Jesus and even did not accept food to eat from their hands. His relative given him Kitabul Mokaddas (The Bible) and he started to read The Bible.

Now he has found God's Truth through Lord Jesus Christ and surrendered his life to Him. He is witnessing his new faith in Jesus to his neighbours and other relatives. Praise His holy name!

One of The Main Accusers turned to Christ. Sis. A. brought one of her relative (Mrs J.) at our special program on 22nd Dec who was one of the accusers & trouble maker to Sis. A. few years ago. Mrs J. shared her testimony and she said that she was the one who told other villagers that Sis. A. became Christian and started to put her in troubles.

But she was surprise when she saw that A. didn't leave Jesus even though she faced lots of troubles and physical persecution. Then she asked A. to share more about Jesus and now she believes in Jesus and would like to follow Him.
Bro. M. Sh. and his wife surrendered their lives to Jesus and sharing their testimonies to their family members and other villagers. They are prayerfully waiting to start House Church fellowship at their own house.

Believers are bringing their children to house Church fellowship and we have now started Children ministry for His glory.
Bro. M. & his family became believers and they are also praying to start house Church fellowship in their area.
God has helped us to start a small construction work for His ministry and it is going well by His grace.

Local area prayer meeting:
John has asked if we could support this meeting if it was held at Bexleyheath on Thursday 5th February. These meetings are a particular encouragement to the causes at Erith, Bexleyheath and Thamesmead. I would be interested to hear today from anyone that would not be happy about this arrangement.- Paul

Bexleyeath have also asked us if anyone could recommend a reliable PLUMBER to them.
