Thought For The Week:

"Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies ..." Psalm 51

Prayer For The Church:

Please pray for the outreach work this week - for Monday Club with numbers around 30 it is proving to be quite challenging - for KIC club that the interest shown by several children prove to be of the Holy Spirit - for FOY with a sudden increase in numbers.
Pray for Pastor preaching away at Leicester today.
Pray for the preparations leading up to Holiday Bible Club.

Prayer For The Local Area:

Hemel Hempstead (Gadebridge)

‘We give thanks for continuing encouragement among our young people and students. We really need our building project to progress. Please pray for the few remaining obstacles to be removed.'

Brighton (Montpelier Place Baptist Church)

Have invited John Blanchard to speak on the topic of ‘Evolution - Fact or Fiction?' on Friday 30th of January at 7:30 PM. We have had 5000 invitations printed and covet your prayers for this event. Brighton is very Post Modern and events like this have attracted some quite hostile visitors in the past. Please pray for receptive visitors to come and that this event be used to bring many to a saving knowledge of the living God through His Son Christ Jesus.

Prayer For The Wider Area:

Bill Hale - The Church of Mercy in Cambodia

Greetings in the Lord! Overall, the past year went really well and we continue to sense God's leadership in our being part of this work. We're enjoying teaching and watching our students grow. In Systematic Theology we've tackled some tough issues, having just completed a chapter on Divine Providence, and Jennifer continues to mercilessly drill her English students on clear pronunciation.

We've also made some significant progress in the Khmer language, though much work remains. Please continue to pray for our language acquisition. Pastor Chheng, Sophorn and Kayleen are all in good health and doing well. Chheng has been faithfully preaching and teaching God's word, and there have been a number of visitors and new members in the last six months.

The Prek Ambel church body is enjoying a season of steady growth and peace, for which we are thankful. The Sre Trang congregation is enjoying the new sanctuary which was completed in early December. After a few months of trials and declining membership, the church has recently seen increased attendance including upwards of 125 children. Pray God would continue to encourage Pastor Ngan and help him to disciple and care for his flock.

The Prek Ambel Training Center continues to run smoothly and we have a good group of students whom I believe have a sincere and lively faith. They are growing in grace in many aspects. The music classes are starting to bear fruit. We now have a number of skilled guitar and piano players, which really makes a difference in our worship services.

Additionally, three of our students have a strong desire to serve God in Bible teaching: Daniel, Vanak and Sokea. They've been going out on Saturday mornings to share the Gospel and look for open doors. We hope to start weekly Bible studies and, as the Lord wills, to eventually start new churches. Please continue to pray for our efforts, that God would lead us to His harvest fields.

Please pray for us!
1.Peace and liberty with the government
2.For Daniel, Vanak and Sokea as they seek to start Bible studies
3.Pastor Ngan & the Sre Trang church to grow in faith
4.Pastor Chheng & the Prek Ambel church to grown in faith
5.Bill and Jennifer's Khmer language acquisition
