CALL TO WORSHIP
Prepare me, gracious God
To stand before Thy face!
Thy Spirit must the work perform
For it is all of grace.
In Christ’s obedience clothe
And wash me in His blood
So shall I lift my head with joy
Among the sons of God.
Do Thou my sin subdue
Thy Sovereign love make known
The Spirit of my mind renew
And save me in Thy Son.
Let me attest Thy power
Let me Thy goodness prove
Till my full soul can hold no more
Of everlasting love!
(Tune: “I Love Thy Kingdom Lord” p. 188)

A work that is finished - that is what brings rest. A war that is won - that is what brings peace. A law that is satisfied - that is what brings liberty. An inheritance that cannot fade away - that is what brings stability. A love that will never end - that is what brings union. A Helper who will never leave our side - that is what brings comfort. A salvation that reaches the uttermost - that is what brings hope. A Substitute that was sacrificed for sin - that is what brings pardon. A Blood that covers all iniquity - that is what brings forgiveness. A gospel message that declares good news - that is what brings joy. A cross that has conquered - that is what brings glory. A death that is swallowed up in victory - that is what brings life. Everything that is accomplished for a child of God, and everything that the accomplishment brings to a child of God, is found in the Person of the Lord Jesus Christ!

TRUE GODLINESS OR JUST A FORM?
“Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (II Timothy 3:5)
All man made religion offers a form or godliness but never true godliness itself. Being a true sinner, I don’t need a form of godliness, I need true godliness and true righteousness. There is a great difference between the two.
A form of godliness says that Christ died for every son of Adam but some of them will go to hell anyway if they don’t decide to believe on Him. True godliness says that Christ died for God’s elect and only God’s elect and those people shall never perish because Christ paid their sin debt in full by His sin atoning death.
A form of godliness says that God wants to save everyone but He can’t do it unless men decide to accept Jesus as their personal savior. True godliness says that everyone God willed to save shall be saved because God will see to all of their salvation.
A form of godliness says that Jesus has made you righteous but you have to keep that righteousness by your works of morality and religion. True godliness says that Christ IS our righteousness and having Christ as our righteousness we can never perish.
Oh give me Jehovah-Tsidkenu, the Lord our Righteousness! Oh give me the Savior who saves without any help or input from me!

Man at his best state is altogether vanity.” (Psalm 39:5)
This describes the best person we know. The best of men are men at best. Solomon was the wisest man to ever live and often acted as the most foolish man to ever live. All of us without exception have feet of clay. Who is man at his best state? The Lord Jesus Christ – the sinless One! Perfect manhood. But, He made Himself of no reputation when He was made sin and was made to cry, “I am a worm, and no man.” He was made vanity that we might be made like His perfect humanity. Oh that we might spend eternity in perfect conformity to His perfect manhood.
