“Coffee with Christ”

(2 Timothy 3:16)

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”

What does this verse mean to you? Does it or should it mean the same thing to everyone? Is it different for the man of God than it is for the man of the world? What does the word “given” mean? To whom was it given and how long may they keep it? Does all mean ALL or does it just mean all that we as human beings are able to hold on to? What exactly is Scripture and does it have to be Inspired by God? What does Inspired mean? Can all Scripture that is Inspired by God be profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness if it is lost or unavailable? If man has misplaced or lost part of the Inspired Word of God is it possible that all could be lost? If so, how do we know what we have is inspired at all? Do we depend on man to maintain what God has given and inspired for him to have for his benefit and profit? The way you answer these questions reveal the way you see God more than the way you see His Word.
