The message of the Gospel is a twofold blessing. First is the best possible news for us, for all blood-guilty rebels against the majesty of the One True God; and that best news is this: He has declared peace unto us!! He has settled His own debt by the blood of Jesus, shed for sinners at Calvary!! No longer must we be cursed under the just wrath of Almighty God, for He has laid our guilt upon the innocent Lamb, and has slaughtered Him as payment! This means that there is now nothing keeping us out of His light but our own determination to continue rebelling; to hate Him all the more for the "offense" of putting our sin upon display and refusing to allow us to pretend it isn't real... but even in our determination to destroy ourselves, God is not willing that any He has chosen for Himself would perish. Therefore, in the fullness of time, at His appointed hour, He takes out our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36). He causes us to see our sin, to understand its evil and to repent... He turns rebels into sons. This, is by far, the greatest news that could ever be! God WILL save those He has chosen to save!! The second part of this grand message is that His triumph over the evil one is complete!! God has displayed His Sovereign might and awesome power over the enemy of our souls, and more; all the minions of darkness that seek to oppose God, oppress His people, and defame His glory will not succeed in their plots; this fact does not change regardless of what things may look like at any given moment, our God surpasses all moments and nothing occurs without His consent... so even as they seek to harm, they only do what God allows for His own perfect purposes!! Rejoice in this fact, oh child of God, your Father has triumphed, and grants to you the victory that He himself purchased with His own blood!! Rejoice, give praise, shout in triumph to the Lord Almighty!!
