(Proverbs 3:5-6) “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
From whom do you receive guidance? The Scripture teaches “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” A multitude of counsel is no better than no counsel if the multitude are not Godly! How do I know if the counselors I’m listening to are Godly? Glad you asked! Put the Proverb above in the form of a question. Are the people you trust encouraging you to trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart? To not trust in the wisdom of the world but to put Him first in every situation that comes to the table. When we make God and Godliness our first priority He directs our path and keeps us from falling.
(Proverbs 16:7-8) “When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.”
