"Coffee with Christ"

(Romans 6:11-13)
"Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God."

Wow! That is quite a statement! There was a time I was alive to sin and dead to God! His existence had no impact to me in my life. But now by the regenerative work of God in my heart I am now dead to sin and alive to God! It's not that sin does not exist, but that it has no power in my life because of the price that Jesus has paid for it. I have been freed from the penalty and power and the pleasure of sin. Now it is a matter of what I yield myself unto! Now I actually have true freedom of the will in that the dominion of sin in my life has been broken by the shed Blood of Jesus Christ. By faith in His birth, life, death, burial and resurrection the bondage of sin has been released and I now have not only the freedom but the power, ability and desire to resist sin successfully!

(1 John 3:3-6)
And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.”
(1 John 1:7)
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
