Do you want to see peace, the fruit of justice and righteousness? Do you want to know the quietness of that established righteousness, the joy that is the very air of that promised hope? Then know that the reign and rule of God will finally and completely produce it. Further, the rule and reign of God will ALONE produce it! And what's more, but not only will He produce the final, complete peace, but He will also give peace to His children in this life as well!! There is no other king who IS the Lord of Peace, no other sovereign who promises the peace that is part of His very nature as a guarantee to all who follow Him. But our God not only promises, He delivers on His promise. Our great and holy God will one day complete the work of restoration which began before the fall. He has been at the helm of His creation since before there was a creation to govern... and not one of His words has ever failed, or dropped unfulfilled into the earth. Whatever trial you face, whatever difficulty stands obstinately before you... no matter your foe, no matter your resources, God is governing all. He will bring it to the best and right conclusion. Never fear, dear child, though all the world be in chaos and darkness around you, the promise of God still stands and the work of righteousness will be peace, and the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever.
