The heart of the living is a heart of thanksgiving and praise... and what is more, this is the heart that pleases God. This praise filled heart is the second growth stage of a heart that has been awakened and renewed. When God has made us alive, turning us from sin unto Himself we begin to see the world through new eyes in every way. As we see this new world around us, this world filled with glory and meaning and purpose, we begin to taste its shape. This desire grows until it hits us with a force that cannot be ignored, a powerful sense of deep and overwhelming gratitude... we cry out because we want to give thanks, we cry out because we MUST give thanks. It is as much a part of our nature as breathing. We grow into this heart of praise, we are formed for it, as is all of creation. The very rocks cry out, deep cries into deep, the stars sing forth His name, all the heavens declare their maker's honor, glory and praise. It is part of our transformed nature to resonate with this anthem of the cosmos, to add our voice to the symphony of resounding, abundant worship. When God opens your heart and eyes, He also opens your mouth in declaration of all He is, and all He has done. Give praise, Oh child of the King! Your God has made you His own redeemed and precious possession!!!
