This is an always true statement. There has never been a time, a place, a person who could claim that God failed to keep His word. No matter the circumstance, no matter the challenge, no matter the difficulty, God hall always been and will always be proven utterly faithful!! He ALWAYS keeps His word... but just like ancient Israel, we are oftentimes quick to abandon God when it seems that we are not getting what we want, or think we deserve. We are quick to accuse God of faithlessness, of forsaking His promise, of failure. But consider this well, has there ever been anyone who could actually point to an instance where God failed to fulfill His promise? Too often we mistake our wants for God's guarantee, we substitute our desires for His will, our dreams for His purpose and then when our intentions are not accomplished, we blame God for our presumption... it is shameful, and yet we are often guilty of this misrepresentation of God. Let us instead, fix our eyes upon the face of Him who is our all in all, and seek to be still in His presence, awaiting His guidance instead of running ahead, let us delight in the fact that He can absolutely be trusted, that we are completely safe in His hand, and that whatever He promised, He has purposed, and He WILL fulfill!! This is our faithful Father, let us rest in His omnipotent hand, and trust in His loving care!!
