This core truth of life is being pressed on people all over the world, and it is driving them mad. Fear grows, increasing with the awareness of life's uncertainty. All over, people walk about fretting over the fact that they don't know what tomorrow will bring... the current worry strikes home with powerful impact as the mortality which we all carry as our curse touches them in unexpected places and unknown times... but this is ALWAYS the way of it, we have never had the promise of even one more breath, though we have arrogantly assumed that we are certain to enjoy decades more. The response of the church is crucial in these days. We cannot respond with fear, we dare not waste the opportunity to speak eternal truth into hearts that may be opening... the central perspective of scripture is simple in its depth ~ Fear God, then you need fear nothing else. Let us speak the truth, let us proclaim the glory of the risen Christ, and above all let us live as if we believe what we proclaim!!
