This may be one of the most remarkable statements ever made about a man. NOT ONLY was he completely blameless in regards to the laws of his king, his enemies knew without a shadow of a doubt that if there was a conflict between God's law and man's law, Daniel would choose to obey his God, not caring what man said regardless of the consequences. They knew that they must contrive to turn the laws of the land against what God said was right. Beloved, WE must be a people of such clear and manifest character. When faced with a choice between obeying God, or obeying man, we must always choose to obey God. But in order to do this, we must regard the OPINION of God on all issues to be the only opinion that matters!! More than Facebook, more than the news, more than what seems right to us, more than what our friends say or think, certainly more than what the popular culture deems right... if we have not practiced choosing God's way against the mere opinions of our culture, we will never stand a chance of obeying God when it's laws are turned against us!
