Last week we were made aware that prayer that is pleasing to the Lord has certain criteria and must not contradict the works or being of God, must address Him as our Father, and that we must pray confidentially to Him. We are now told to approach Him as our Heavenly Father, as reflected in our families between father and children. He will hear our prayer and answer it and we can pray to Him confidently!

It is tremendous to be able to call the Mighty God "our Father" and as families we understand the great gift. A father owns, is responsible for, and takes care of his children and his child may live without a care or need in his life. Even in death a father and mother leave everything to their child. This relationship we are told pertains to our relationship to God and He is our Father for Jesus' sake. He holds our entire life in His hands and He knows what we need daily and knows and can supply our necessities and dispenses them to us....even though sometimes that means sorrow, sickness, and dependency. The hand of the Lord is always upon us for good and He always grants us our prayer.

This does not come by right as by nature we are NOT worthy. But, we are adopted by our Lord Jesus Christ! (Prodical son.) We make bold by faith we are children of God by adoption by our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians and Galatians.) It is in and with the blood of Christ where our adoption papers are signed, making us heirs of God and God's Spirit bears with our spirit whereby we are SURE of our adoption and whereby we become His children. How great is this relationship that we have to call Him our Father and to bring our physical and spiritual necessities to Him. And also that He will answer them before we even utter them! Amazing!

We can cling to the full assurance that He will abide with us in our so-journey and will withhold nothing from us in confidence, giving us everything for body and soul!
