They went to Hell for all the same reasons most people go there today. Of course first of all we know they would not listen to God’s man and receive Noah’s Almighty God. People today are running from God instead of to God.

The Bible tells us plainly this is a fact today. Matthew 24:37-39, “But as in the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the Ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Jesus might come any time, day or night. Are you ready? Noah’s neighbors heard him preach the warning messages for 120 years and paid no attention, just like people today. They were too caught up in sinful practices just as folks today are.

We have a few faithful preachers giving their lives to proclaiming the saving gospel, but few listeners. Sermons go out on TV, radio, newspaper, pulpit and mission fields with very few converts. Like Noah of old, many faithful pastors plead with cold, dead, careless people to repent before they perish. Thank God for a few being saved but there are not many.

In Matthew Chapter seven we are told that not many are on the narrow road to Heaven, but most people are on the broad super highway to Hell. Somehow you and I are duty bound to stop a few of them before they go to Hell.
