Calvinists infiltrate SBC; membership levels off. Calvinists reach majority status in SBC; membership declines. Calvinists take over SBC; churches die. Calvinist/reformed churches are dying everywhere, but somehow I am expected to believe that they are "evangelistic." Do the math. Evangelistic churches grow. Calvinistic churches decline and ultimately die.
Read I Corinthians 3:1-4 and figure it out for yourself. I am not going to engage in a debate on this issue. The scripture is too clear to require any debate.
Penned wrote, "the scriptures do not differentiate between ANYTHING other than lost and saved." Actually, the Bible also distinguishes between carnal and spiritual saved people.
Well la di dah and whoop de doo. When "charitable giving" includes massive donations to groups such as Planned Parenthood, GLAAD, and CAIR, there really ain't much to crow about.
He may look like a gardener--Genesis 2:8, John 20:15. He may look like a builder--Job 38:4, Mark 6:3. He may look like a shepherd--Psalm 23:1, John 10:11. He may look like a judge--Genesis 18:25, Acts 17:30-31. He may look like a King--Psalm 47:2, Revelation 19:16.
I don't think we should remove the national motto from our money. However, perhaps we should edit it somewhat. "In God a few of us still trust" would be more accurate.
God is light (I John 1:5). What does light look like? God is love (I John 4:8). What does love look like? God is a man of war (Exodus 15:3). What does a man of war look like? God is a consuming fire (Deuteronomy 4:24). What does a consuming fire look like? God is a Spirit (John 4:24). What does a Spirit look like? Who is sufficient for these things?
They said my goats were sometimes pressing six or seven keys at each stroke and jamming up the system. It seems like technology would be able to compensate for this by now.
I doubt it, Chris. More likely a case of the following. And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not. (1 Timothy 5:13)
