I belive I know what B.h.k is saying "lordship salvation garbage"
Because some do use lordship salvation to think of them selves better than some others, not in the scenes it was taking as saying that it is garbage but how some people use it to boast themselves. I agree with this person we are saved by grace through faith and not of works lest any man should boast. And yes I agree with B.h.k about the view on J.M. About some of his teachings on salvation. They're off by a long.

Where do you get off assuming that my belief is all mental assent? Never did I mention of just believing in a man named jesus. Im refering to the "Lord Jesus Christ". Also where do y'all get off throwing my comments which were scriptual under the bus and refer to me as a easy-believism Christian. Also where do you get off assuming that I'm reading out of a niv bible? I'm strictly KJV and would never use that garbage. I believe the plan of salvation was, even though my own quick words were cut right to the chase. The whole point of the comment was a simple reminder that it's grace by faith alone! Not any works! Belive in thy heart, not in your head.

Honestly it sounds like a lot of y'all want claim to have your trust and faith in Christ but are still trying to earn your way to eternal salvation. I might be mistaking but it's what it sounds like. If so that's called Calvinism which is nothing but a self-righteous belief and doctrine that should be repented of immediately.

Clearly you need to do some more studying in your bible beacause most of the verses on repentance are not speaking about salvation. Study the context a little more

Let me give it in simple term.

The gospel is the good news of how(you and I) are saved from hell by gods grace.

Jesus Christ who is Gods son died on the cross for our sins.

He was buried and rose again to give eternal life as a free gift.

You got eternal life by simply trusting and putting all your faith in the finished work of Christ.Faith alone.

John 6:47 verily, verily I say onto you whoever beliveth on me hath everlasting life. Got it.

And no where in the bible does it say to "repent of all of your sins" to be saved and "persevere to the end and you'll be saved" for salvation. If anybody teaches these things or add anything to the gospel to be saved they're nothing but a wolf in sheeps clothing.

The point of the matter is salvation is not a 12 step program. Yes it's all a matter what we believe but jesus made the way to obtain salvation so simple that 5 year old could understand and easily except or reject the gospel.

Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.

I have no beef with J.M. But this is not what he teaches. And for any preacher or pastor to tell of otherwise you mark them. I've listened to this man speak his version of the plan of salvation and it goes "you must repent of all of your sins" "endure until the end" " then believe that is the messiah" to obtain salvation. Unfortunately we all know or should know this is not how we are saved. I hate to say it but anybody who teaches anything other than what the bible says on the most important event in a beleivers life falsely that's throws up a huge red flag!
So forgive me and others who don't praise this man like some of you do. God bless all of you

Let me sum this up for everybody as far as salvation goes. The bible is clear about how to be saved. Simply " Believe on The Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." Not repent of all your sins, or live a certain way then believe. The bible is crystal clear. Believe that Jesus is the Christ. The way we live is called fellowship. Just because someone doesn't live a certain way or " do the works" doesn't mean they're not saved. Yes we should live for jesus by living right but if someone still struggling with a piticular sin in there life doesn't make them not saved. Because if we are to be honest we all still sin daily.

This is a must-hear sermon for anyone (especially Christian) that has been or is under psychological/psychiatric care. I was on anti-depressants as an unbeliever but weened myself off (dangerous to do as Voddie says) soon after being saved. All psychotropic drugs just mask symptoms and can rob you of your God-given humanity. There is even something in this sermon for coffee addicts :)

My husband is not a believer and involved in homosexual activity. He blasphemes the Lord without consideration. I wonder if my case is grounds for divorce. It often makes me vomit when I think of the situation I am in.

Peter Geiermann, C.S.S.R., The Convert's Catechism of Catholic Doctrine, p. 50, 3rd edition, 1957. So show me where the apostles changed the day. I would suggest you read my earlier posts first.
To say that I am in league with satan is very judgemental, but that is your opinion and I will not hold that against you.

Erine, I am not a SDA, I am a bible beliving Christian who letf the RCC. To meet or preach on the 1st day does not justify that the day was changed. Jesus didnâ€™t rise on the first day to hallow it or to change the Sabbath from the 7th day to the 1st day; He rose on that day because it was the feast of first fruits of whom he was the first.Jesus rose on the feast of first fruits, which happened to be on the first day of the week that year. It changes according to whatever day Passover {Nisan 14} falls on; So it falls on a different day every year, like christmas day. The 7th day Sabbath was kept up untill 321Ad when Constantine changed it with his first sunday law decree.Here is what the church historian, Socrates, who died in A.D. 440, wrote nearly a hundred years after Constantine's Sunday Law Decree was issued:
"Although almost all churches through the world celebrate the sacred mysteries on the Sabbath week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition,[Sun worship on the 1st day] have ceased to do this."--Socrates, Ecclesiastical History, Books, chapter 22.
People cannot "cease" to do what they have never done, and so we can know that even at Rome and Alexandria the Bible Sabbath was once kept in earlier centuries.
