If we actually sit down and look at the lives of the candidates and whether or not the political agendas they set forth are actually Biblical, can any Christian vote for any of the candidates.
we did it. We were 17 and 19. That was 33 yrs ago. God has been good to us.A lot of people( church) told us that our marriage would last.By by God's grace we happily married for 33 yrs now. Just can't imagine any other way.
Sorry I didn't use any words as you John to get pretty much the same point across that must have flew right over the top of your head. You clearly misunderstood pretty much everything I've said and come across as very wrongfully judgemental but it's alright my friend
Honestly that was me and many others felt that's what he was saying that even though he accepted Christ as his savior at 15 but because he didn't submit until later in his life he wouldn't go to heaven. And if that's what he meant then I got a big problem with that and I'm sure many other would too. So I hope I made it understandable where me and somebody else was saying. Good day friends
Yes I meant born again. Well John I'm taking that if the boy accepted jesus as his savior at 15 then he was born again. The only people that know if he was really born again was him and th lord. I'm just taking what he wrote it that he accepting it as it is. If that's not so there should have been more clarification.
John uk Ok let me get this straight and correct me if I'm wrong but are openly professing that a norm again christian can lose his salvation. Yes or no?
Gs Brother. Yes repentance does take place when a lost person becomes saved. He turned and repented from not believing, to believing. So yes I'm not stressing that repentance is not required to be saved but I'm stressing that people misuse repentance a lot. Such as telling new born again believes that in order to be saved and stay saved they have to repent of all their sins. And that was where I was pointing out that no where in the bible does it say anything about repenting of all of your sins then you'll be saved. I hope that made sense.
That is my best understanding to what Bhk was speaking about "lordship salvation garbage". If that is not your belief in lordship salvation then good for you but if that is, then you follow a heretic teaching and I'm by no means teaching anythig heretic. So don't even worry about an apology I already forgave you.
John uk. Let me try my best to explain in as fewest words as possible my point and maybe you understand. In John mcauthors book called " the gospel according to jesus" he writes of a person who was saved at fifteen. But did not come in to submission into making Christ his lord until he was in his early or mid twenties. The suggesting that if he would have died before his early or mid twenties that he would have not made it into heaven. Now that is what this person was referring to as a big pile of garbage! If this person would have died the next day after being saved he woul have went straight into the presence of The Lord. That is not negotiable.
That's all I was trying to say is that some people teach " in order to be saved you have to repent of all your sins" believe it or not and we need to expose these that teach that and expose them. We've got to listen very carefully to what some teach.
Cv. I'm with you on this matter of the simplicity that is in Christ. I don't understand why anybody would want to add anything to the simple gospel and make it so hard and complex. Almost like they wanna make it a riddle or something. I'm sorry but if someone can't even agree with us about the first step of becoming a born again believer, I just don't know what else I can do but pray for those. God bless and hope to see more of you shared comments
Like I said no where does it say "repent of all your sins" in order to be saved. They're speaking about repenting from whatever it might be that's keeping a person from being saved. I'm not by any means encouraging sin. We need to repent everyday of our sin but we can't teach repent of all of your sins in order to be saved. repentance comes after a person is saved by the Holy Spirit that move within us to convict us. And quit teaching that people they need to repent of all of there sins in order to stay saved.
